From the Desk of Corinna the Crazy Political She Bat:
It is a wonder Al Gore is still in the news but today I mention this climate change guru because of a moment of weakness he had and then let that moment spew forth from his mouth, Al Gore has stated that climate change deniers should be punished for not accepting current science. Punished for wanting more proof sir? Punished for having an opinion? Or punished for not accepting your word that comes down from the temple gore that has its lights on throughout the night to direct the masses on how they should live all the while burning more carbon then Wyoming?
First no science is stagnant and research just simply ends and second climate change is far from undisputed fact. Scientists have mottled this debate with false information and false logic. I give you Global warming to climate change to global cooling all of which we normal people call weather or the change of seasons. Yet it is not the debate that bothers me. I agree a dialogue should be open and clear and science should continue, what I do not agree with is some politician telling me how I should believe simply because he has closed his mind to other possibilities.
Climate change is now a political distraction, a sleight of hand so to speak, to get the American public to look at that information instead of at current political issues and one that so far has worked quite well. When the science actually gets caught up and we know more it may become the issue that Mr. Gore states but at the moment the arctic has not melted as predicted and the oceans have not risen and the polar bears are thriving so can we deal with what seems to be more important issues like the wars we are involved in, the economy, unemployment, race riots, ISIS, and Russia.
I would also like to remind my fellow Americans we are supposed to be free, free to speak as Mr. Gore has shown us and free to think what we will, so once we punish people for disagreeing with Mr. Gore we are no longer free in any way. In fact at that moment George Orwell will have had his prediction in 1984 come true, he was just a little late. It would be nice if the current population of politicians remembered there is a thing called the US Constitution which protects the God given rights of the people; those rights of speech, privacy, religion are all covered maybe Mr. Gore you should read it.
