I would argue that the volunteers dealing with the Ebola outbreak in Africa are incredibly brave and maybe our press should spend some time letting us know who they are. There are hero’s everywhere and they all have one thing in common, compassion but compassion at the correct level and processed through a personal lens. When a man or woman volunteers their time and energy to help others in their world, they have made themselves stand out and are truly hero’s, when they are ordered to be compassionate by the government through wealth redistribution and government programs on the other hand they have become no more than slaves.
Recently in history we can look at the Noble peace prize to see the cynicism that has seeped into this idea of peace and heroism. Barrack Obama has attacked seven nations and been the epicenter of scandal and death almost from his first day in office, yet almost immediately the Noble committee issued him a peace prize, mostly for being black and becoming President. I wonder if maybe it should have been the American people who should have won that prize for their trust and attempt to change their environment through peaceful means, only to find out the elected their own destruction.
I could talk about the Noble committee issuing a peace prize to Al Gore for spreading the word on climate change, except now we know that most of what he said was pure bullshit and drama and for the record what does attempting to predict the weather have to do with peace? Is the Noble Peace Prize still a peace prize or maybe now it is a political slap on the back. Awards can be great but remember all the people who have done good in your neighborhood without recognition.
My point is simple, when you see another human being giving of themselves without being told to do it by the government, this is an act of peace and compassion, thank them and maybe try to help them but when you see a person being forced to be compassionate by government regulation, maybe we should build them an underground railway to Canada, after all I thought we were free to make that choice and here is the scary part, in this administration through regulation and taxes we are all forced daily to be compassionate to other citizens of other countries even when they are killing our soldiers (our sons and daughters), so ask yourself do you feel compassionate or more like a slave.
