Now let’s dissect this for the American people, She is trying to have a private moment yet at least seven others were power walking with her, assuming that the two closest to Michelle Obama were also secret service that leaves five people in tow, not very private. Also if one were to choose to have a private moment, one might not want to power walk down a busy though fare open to the public, just saying.
Also the reporters did not get in her way they were filming from across the road and were harming no one; I was wondering what ever happened to the freedom of the Press in this country? Not that I really want to see this woman marching like a scared chicken down the road but those reporters were not breaking any law of any kind, what really was the problem?
The problem was Michelle Obama had given a royal edict that she did not want to be filmed and the Secret Service did their job and to be honest with her legs I get it. Yet, here is the rub, she does not have the authority to revoke civil liberties, as the first lady she barely has the authority to order lunch. So why did she do it, because she can and has so far gotten away with it.
Even the President does not have the authority to revoke civil liberties under most circumstances, yet he does all the time, apparently he is not the only one who has forgotten to read the constitution, you know, life liberty and the pursuit of happiness, the First Lady was pursuing her happiness by making reporters miserable I guess.
I want to ask the American people how long are we going to tolerate these little abuses of power before they blow up into a large problem? 28 scandals folks and this President feels safe enough to play golf at Martha’s vineyard while an American journalist is beheaded and an American General is buried. We have people in prisons throughout the world now and this President does nothing, people like the Marine Sgt. In Mexico and guess what the administration does nothing but the secret service can infringe on reporters civil liberties on behalf of a woman who was elected to nothing .
