In this country at the moment we have the first amendment and until we do not we have the right to say what we think and feel about pretty much anything. So if a football team or any team takes a name that a small group of people think is offensive (and I say this knowing that many Native Americans do not care about the name) this is none of the governments business. They issued a trademark and that should have been the end of it.
Yet in today’s political world we have Democrats in particular but not just Democrats looking to talk about anything but what the President does on a daily basis. Our President has made it impossible to discuss just about anything in this country and I might add he was/is wrong in doing so and we as citizens are wrong in allowing it to happen. If everything that offends someone is banned communication in almost all forms will be eliminated or we could just get over ourselves and laugh a bit more.
Mr. Norton has a colorful way of pointing out the method of proliferation of these ideas and my friends he is not wrong. MSNBC loves to talk about how mainstream Americanism is wrong but remember they are the minority most of us citizens believe in America, which is exactly why MSNBC is finding it harder and harder to get viewers. My suggestion to them is to get rid of these dilatants on the air and put on some average hard working Americans who want nothing more than to get at the truth. Remember the truth will set you free and MSNBC if you do not start connecting with American citizens you will be really free, free to do whatever you want while waiting for unemployment.
MSNBC is rated by Nielsen’s as the second lowest news network only above Fox business in August of 2013. Is it any wonder with the proliferation of hate with Al Sharpton and Chris Mathews they even survived this long but alas they did but not without feeling a bit of the heat, Ronan Farrow is in the ratings line of fire right now but Keith Olbermann and Alec Baldwin have already been cancelled. Recently Tour’e has made some racist comments against white people and found himself the recipient of the Knucklehead of the week award by this website. Maybe MSNBC should find a way to reconnect with America instead of alienating it.
Anyway Mr. Norton thank you for your insight and for your humor, I for one believe you are right on the money when you said it “What a groveling, awful, f***ing hunk of s**t network MSNBC is.” Keep up the observations, you as any citizen are allowed to voice your opinion and in this case you are not alone by a long shot.
