The point is this when a President makes an executive order that creates law instead of creating policy to follow signed laws voted by Congress and signed by the President, they have acted outside the authority of the President, which is not constitutional and something I am quite sure Loretta Lynch understands. So what she said at her confirmation hearing is that she would defend a President who breaks the law knowingly.
Well as a citizen of this nation I have a problem with this version of law making that seems to run rampant within our current governmental structure. The first problem is this, no one not even the President is above the law and yet our President acts on a daily basis as if he is and second the new confirmed Attorney General is willing to break the law herself to protect said president. This in the end renders all laws of this country useless and without meaning and really that is the problem with the current actions of the offices sworn to uphold the law.
As a citizen, I do not care about Loretta Lynch’s color of skin or her gender or even her previous political beliefs, what really matters in the end to me is that the Constitution and the law of the USA is more important to her than any single individual including the President of the USA and to be honest I do not believe that to be true or even close to true.
So today in History for me at least the Senate confirmed the first black, female Attorney General but they also confirmed another lawyer that has no real intention of following the very document that makes the office she was elected to available to her, which in my mind is a criminal act visited upon the people of this nation by the very representatives they have elected and a travesty of government and our stated beliefs as Americans. I hope I am wrong and Loretta Lynch takes her oath of office seriously but I doubt at the moment that she will even remember the words of her oath ten minutes after her swearing in while having lunch with the President.
