This idea is simple, why can’t we do better for America? Why does the greatest economy on the planet have starving children? Why can’t we educate our children without putting them into financial slavery known as student loan debt? Why can’t we control our borders and make our own country safer? Why can’t we do better here in this country, the one we live in and the one we control?
Why are there so many Americans pleading to feed children around the world when there are children right here in this nation starving? Charities abound who clothe children in third world nations but what about our own homeless? We worry about policing the world and yet we cannot police ourselves. We can do better but it starts right here. The rest of the world will agree or disagree and always will for they have their own agenda but I wonder why the agenda of our own government is not to help the American people?
It seems the current administration and many of the current politicians from both sides of the aisle believe they can regulate and tax America to help the world but I wonder if neither should be taking place. Isn’t it time we rebuild this nation, our cities, help our homeless and starving? Wouldn’t we be better off if our police were better equipped and had more people and resources? Wouldn’t we be better off if all of our children had college educations and no debt? We talk about allowing everybody participate and some believe the only way to do that is to give to some and take from others but we could simple teach everybody needed skills so they can make their own way, you know teach a man to fish the concept of perpetual care.
Each American has their own ideas and dreams and isn’t it time we allowed our own people the skills to pursue whatever dream they have, restore the American dream and we restore the hope of the world. This brings me back to the idea of welfare in this nation, the only welfare this nation needs is education, free as far one can go and then allow them to make their life what they choose with it, that my fellow Americans is true freedom.
We continue to argue on how to make things right for events in the past but the truth is we can make things equal and prosperous in our present, the real question is why don’t we? So on this the last day of Christmas I give to you the American people an idea, one of equality and fairness for all Americans and I ask why can’t we do better?
