It is important to note that on both sides of the aisle there are a vast differences in candidates and one should meet your needs but never change your desire to meet theirs, that is exactly how we end up with the class of politicians we have running this nation right now, a narcissistic bunch whose personal desire exceed any ability to do the right things.
Change is difficult but watching a clown show like we have in Washington D.C. all scramble for what they believe they are entitled to is insane, it must change and that change can only come from the people. It is time for us to look at our government with honest eyes and make decisions based on a moral center not a desire for personal gain. The first fact is this: Our government does not exist to make anything easier for the people, it exists to protect us from enemies foreign and domestic and to create fair rules for trade and that is all. Anything we want to do that makes life more equal or easier has to come on local levels. Any change we want made to how our children are educated must also be local and regulations for almost all the idiocy our government is involved in such as how much water passes through a toilet should not exist at all. Of course regulations that exist within the confines of common sense that protect the individuals safety should be in play but do we really need the State or Federal government regulating toilet water?
To change this trend I implore politicians to change their message from what is negative about their opponent to what is right about them. It is time we the people understood the nature of those we elect and then dare I say hold them accountable for their promises. We the people need to stop reelected those that cannot keep their word and that falls on each and every one of us. When Mitch McConnell comes out and says he will pass 12 bills in 12 weeks and he passes things like naming federal buildings in Florida we need to make a change. It use to be when a President stated no new taxes and then raised taxes we did not elect them and today we pat them on the back and give them a second term. I contend any politician who gives a campaign promise should be held accountable in office for those promises, that a system should be in place at the minimum, rating each politician on the words they themselves have spoken toward their actions and then we the American people should take action based on that idea.
When was the last time anyone hear Hillary Clinton speak about what she will do once in office? The fact is we need her to tell us as we need each candidate to speak of their thoughts so we have the opportunity to agree or disagree in the election.
