Diane Feinstein has spoken and her words make sense for a change, unless of course we rewind the clock to 2002 because she also said;
“Noting the weight of the decision to go to war, Congress must not rush to judgment …”
The only real difference is the fact that the earlier statement deals with a time this nation felt it was dealing with a nuclear enemy. Apparently to get the full on support from Senator Feinstein our enemy must be much weaker than our armed forces capability or at least not have weapons of mass destruction or maybe it must be politically expedient for her to agree.
This is the opinion of one man who lived through both times and I agree with both decisions to attack Iraq for the reasons given, in the first weapons of mass destruction (which have been found since) and in the second to stop genocide of a race of people because we as a nation weakened them to the point of needing protection, we have a responsibility to protect them.
Yet I do not believe Mrs. Feinstein has the same honorable intentions, I believe that her decisions in both cases are and was purely political. In the first case, when nuclear weapons were reported present She was against action, not because it may have caused deaths but because the President calling for it was a different political party, proof in the second case she is calling for action like she has a personal stake in the combat and the only real difference in the two situations, the President is now a Democrat.
Yes I am accusing Mrs. Feinstein of playing politics with people’s lives at stake, any soldier who has any degree of proficiency in their job would tell you it is their job to save lives and would agree the Iraqi people are in need of saving. Mrs. Feinstein by her statement is in direct contradiction to her previous statements and is not looking at saving lives but destroying an enemy. This is because this the current President needs support and Mrs. Feinstein is woefully unprepared to support anyone one properly, even with words.
This final comment by Mrs. Feinstein just proves how ineffective as a representative of the people she really is, she is a party puppet and in dire need of a pink slip and a long retirement.
