In a perfect world we would all be protected by the government and pay the bare minimum of taxes, we would have a military that would practice to the full extent that time allows and never have to deploy.
In a perfect world we as citizens would understand our rights, reiterated by the constitution and politician’s jobs would be to protect those rights and ideas from those that would choose to undermine the idea of freedom.
In a perfect world we as a nation would understand our sovereignty and that of other nations and choose to protect our own borders and have a stable immigration plan that allows those that want to come to us to enjoy the liberties God has granted them, can through a peaceful legal process.
In a perfect world police protect and serve the public and the public helps them and every now and again simply says thank you.
In a perfect world there is no need for regulations that only promote specific agendas other than safety.
In a perfect world killing each other and burning down our own cities would be considered abhorrent and we would reach out and help those around us without needing government intervention.
In a perfect world we the citizens would be the granters of welfare and the government would not be necessary in this capacity.
I could go on, and yes I understand this is not a perfect world, but I wonder, why not?
The current world is a creation of our own making, the hatred and race issues are choices we have made, Education and failed social programs that we continue, this world is as it always has been a reflection of our own souls. A reflection I might add that is not very comfortable for most decent human beings. When I look at our leaders I wonder why we chose them. When I look at our cities I wonder why we did that. When I see hatred around the world resulting in death and destruction I wonder why we allow that and when I look at our government I wonder why we tolerate that. Why indeed. No this is not a perfect world but it could be much better than it is with just a little effort on our part as citizens, we could stand up and say enough, reach out and help each other and render the inefficient government useless and shrink it to a point where we stand as friends and family again instead of strangers who pass each other on the streets with nothing but contempt and suspicion.
No, this is not a perfect world today and that is on each and every one of us as children of God and citizens of this nation. No, this is not a perfect world, but it could be, what have you done today to change our future? What have you done today to change the direction we are going? It may not be a perfect world today but it could be tomorrow if we start to work together and change our direction.
Remember it is not a perfect world but it could be.
