"America must always lead on the world stage," Obama told graduates of the U.S. Military Academy, but he added that "military action cannot be the only — or even primary — component of our leadership in every instance." Used from USA Today
Sentiment most normal human beings who have not studied the idea of warfare would agree with, but if you have studied the concept of warfare you know another quote, this quote;
“War is nothing but a continuation of politics with the admixture of other means.”
― Carl von Clausewitz, On War, Indexed Edition
This in my mind proves how little President Obama understands warfare and how little he understands the people he is talking to. This of course is if he simply is not using the troops to give a speech and get another photo op.
Warfare is a continuation of politics which in turn means some form of politics has come first and any person who has been involved with foreign policy knows that the base argument would be not to get to war as it is the most costly method of making a point. Something even I thought the President understood until now as he campaigned on getting this nation out of the two wars it is fighting at this moment, a sentiment I agree with, not because I agree with the President but I agree that this nation, USA, should take a more selfish view in world politics for a while and repair itself, instead of the rest of the world. Yet the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq rage on and soldiers and equipment are at risk still six years after this President made his promises to pull our troops back.
I believe this is true because when it comes to running a nation this current administration does not understand the idea of politics at all. What they do understand is the accumulation of wealth and power at the citizens of this country’s expense and they have accomplished this with the grace of a ballet dancer, not that the media want you to notice over the caskets of our fallen soldiers.
President Obama on this line of thinking made another promise to get rid of the Patriot Act and Guantanamo Bay Prison, promises he has neither the inclination nor the will to keep, if he did he would be relinquishing some of his power. Although both of those ideas put into action meet Von Clausewitz definition of warfare, neither meet the USA’s need for adherence to our own constitutional ideas. So in the end between President Bush who started this with good intentions and President Obama who continues these ideas for his own selfish reasons this country has been fundamentally changed. We have been changed into a lawless nation that slowly is turning to socialist ideals instead of the idea of democracy and republic we have been based on.
A lawless nation in which President Obama has increased his personal wealth by 400% and he has directed the NSA to spy on the citizens of his own country, to wit a lawless nation with power on his side and not the citizens. Which ultimately was President Obama’s goal all along.
So while we all settle down to start our day or finish it remember we as a nation used to follow a document called the constitution, which was simply a rephrasing of our beliefs that each citizens has specific God given rights and a list of rules to run government. That document according to our current President;
…The original Constitution as well as the Civil War Amendments…but I think it is an imperfect document, and I think it is a document that reflects some deep flaws in American culture, the Colonial culture nascent at that time.
So the president has decided not to follow the constitution unless it suits him, you know like declaring the Fifth Amendment at his trial.
President Obama’s ignorance of foreign policy by declaring the military cannot be our primary component and his complete lack of ability to follow the basic precepts of our own constitution are enough to show that he should not be President but also show that he is not capable of any foreign policy debate or able to speak in any way to our troops as he does not understand the fundamental reality of his own position, a diplomat that is supposed to have the military in his arsenal but only to be used as a continuation of politics.
