1. Do on to others is a great place to start, as you would want them to do onto you. This is a concept lost in today’s politics, A land of lies and unrepentant bad judgment. In today’s political landscape very few politicians seem to care if they keep their word and this includes sadly the GOP. The President proves daily how he feels about the people of this nation and yesterday with his moving the wedding of two marine Captains so he could play golf is a perfect example of his disdain for both the people and the military of this nation. I ask you would it have hurt you Mr. President to go to the Beach and have a cold drink for one day and allow those people their space.
2. As a political party one would think that making promises and then doing everything you could to make those promises a reality would be on top of the list of things to do. Rule number two is a simple one, Always remember the core principles of the party before acting so that the actions of the party match the will of the people, you remember the people that elected you. It is obvious and devastating that John Boehner did not follow rule number two when promoting the CR Omnibus bill.
3. Debate and conversation are good things, without them we do not learn as a people or individually so all bills should be debated properly and all sides heard before any vote takes place. Beware the politicians that say we need to vote for it to find out what’s in it, this is a trap no matter the party that performs this particular party trick.
4. A liberal democrat or a Conservative Republican that has a history of telling the public what they want to hear and then voting differently should be voted out of office; they are liars and cannot be trusted. Remember no matter what your beliefs they should be represented in earnest and by honest brokers.
5. Any politician that is for giving the President more power is a dangerous person, we separate power for a reason and if a President thinks that executive action is appropriate over an act of Congress they are after power not the public well being. Any politician that agrees with a President that does this is also looking for power no matter the party, no matter the reason. This Presidential grab for power that started almost 100 years ago culminating in this President must end if the people of this nation will again prosper.
One last thought here remember that regulations are the curtailing of personal freedoms and although it is necessary for certain regulations to exist for the safety of the public is it really necessary to regulate everything the American people do? Each regulation is another step toward a nation that has no Personal freedom whatsoever. Maybe it is time for this nation to understand the current parties are not working for the best interest of the people and a third and/or fourth party may be necessary to give the power back to the people. This nation is in dire need of unity, deregulation and a better tax code. Who have you heard lately speak of that?
