For those other nations that have stood next to us in combat, for those other nations we as a nation may have let down but you still stood fast, I also say thank you for your service.
I pray that someday there will be an end to warfare but until then I thank God everyday for those who are willing to meet the enemy and stand tall in the light of liberty. My father who has been dead now for 13 years served in WWII and my brothers served in the Vietnam era and one became a policeman (He served his community for 25 years without fail, no less than any veteran) I thank you. My wife who served as an Air Force Security Policeman for 12 years and I served in the Air Force security Police for 8 years, I thank my wife and I say that I know about service in so much as I have served.
Today on the anniversary of D Day, a day my father always remembered, I want to show my heartfelt and sincere thanks for the service of the soldiers of this country for over 200 years. Your sacrifice whether honored by our politicians or not will always be remembered by other old soldiers, I know your hardships in age and I know your memories that my haunt you and I have wept for you through the tears of my own pain. Today I say Thank you, and I will always remember.
