You have decided to use the legal system to make a point, I understand the idea but your job is to represent your constituents in good faith and you are part of a checks and balance on the executive branch, in fact the House is the only authority that can begin the impeachment process. So if you know with certainty that the President has broken the law, why have you not impeached the man? Is this not your job?
So by suing the President and not impeaching him, are you not as guilty as the President for not following procedure and following the law when it come to your position?
Now it is easy for me to say impeach the President, I can do that through my emotions and feel what is right and wrong but you as the Speaker must know what is right and wrong and you have stated this by saying you will use legal means against the President, well sir use legal means, impeach.
I also wonder how strong of a Speaker we have that fears his authority. Are you even capable of doing what is right? After all it was the GOP establishment who asked the democrats to vote in Mississippi, you must have been at least aware of the actions there, which means when it comes to acting ethically you are pretty loose with the definition. I say this because you seem upset when the President doesn’t follow the rules but not so much when your own party members wander into unethical behavior. Here is your chance to prove the world wrong sir. Impeach the President and at the same time publicly chastise those involved with Thad Cochran’s primary election. Bring the GOP back to mean something instead of being the conservative arm of the Democratic Party.
Otherwise please stop the law suit nonsense and admit you will do nothing to prevent the President from walking all over the Constitution and the American people, which by the way is what I believe you, will do in the end, nothing. This is what I have come to expect from the GOP establishment.
